Mercyhealth seeks an RN in Oncology to provide compassionate, culturally sensitive nursing care in a clinical setting. Schedule: 32 hours/week, Days. The role emphasizes patient-centered planning and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include administering treatments, documenting care, educating patients and families, and participating in performance improvement initiatives to enhance safety and experience. Requires ADN with BSN preferred and two years of experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• ADN required upon hire; BSN preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years experience required.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process with interdisciplinary team members.
• Performs assessments, planning, intervention and evaluation of care.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments per approved techniques and state laws.
• Ensures accurate and comprehensive documentation per standards.
• Develops and executes patient plans of care as prescribed by physician/hospital policy.
• Educates patients and families; communicates at appropriate level of understanding.
• Participates in department performance improvement activities.
