Job summary

Tennessee Oncology is seeking a dedicated registered nurse to provide safe, high-quality cancer care throughout treatment and disease progression in the community. You will collaborate with physicians to monitor patients and support families during therapy.

The role requires TN or compact RN license, ONS chemotherapy/biotherapy card within 6 months, and TO-approved BLS within 9 months; outpatient oncology experience is preferred and some travel to other clinics may be required.

Qualifications

• Current TN or compact state RN license.
• Oncology nursing knowledge and experience.
• ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy card within 6 months.
• TO approved BLS card within 9 months.
• Outpatient oncology experience preferred.
• Minimum one-year RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform direct patient care in oncology clinic.
• Collaborate with providers to assess and treat symptoms.
• Perform telephone triage and urgent assessment.
• Start IVs and manage venous access devices.
• Administer chemotherapy and other therapies per TO standards.
• Document charges and maintain accurate medical records.
• Supervise LPNs, CNAs and MAs and ensure compliance.
• Travel to other TO clinics as needed.
