Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking an Oncology Registered Nurse for the Breast Cancer Clinic to support patients and families across the oncology continuum. The role emphasizes assessment, education, and coordination of care, under general supervision, with an emphasis on removing barriers to care.

The position requires graduation from an approved nursing program, an active Texas license (or compact state) and BLS certification, with preferred BSN.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved/accredited nursing program.
• Current Texas (or compact state) nursing license and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess and document health status of patients on admission and throughout the care continuum.
• Develop care plans using nursing process and evidence-based knowledge.
• Provide patient and family education and coordinate referrals within Oncology care.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure timely documentation and high-quality care.
