University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is seeking an Oncology RN for the Primary Care Clinic in Dallas. The role supports oncology patients, their families, and caregivers by addressing barriers to care and facilitating referrals across the care continuum.

Under general supervision, the nurse applies the nursing process and evidence-based knowledge to educate patients and families, helping them make informed decisions and navigate the oncology journey.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved/accredited nursing program.
• 1 year nursing experience.
• Current Texas (or BNE Compact State) nursing license and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess and document patient health status across the care continuum.
• Provide education and resources to patients and families.
• Coordinate referrals and communicate with the care team.
• Perform nursing interventions and document care in patient records.
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies and safe nursing practice.
