Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking an Oncology Registered Nurse for the Breast Cancer Clinic in Dallas, TX. The role supports oncology patients and families, addressing barriers to care and providing education throughout the continuum of care.

The position requires a nursing degree, Texas RN license, and BLS certification, with at least 1 year of nursing experience. A BSN is preferred. The schedule includes four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts, with one remote work-from-home day.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an approved/accredited nursing program and
• Experience: 1 year nursing experience
• Licenses: Current Texas (or BNE Compact State) nursing license and BLS (AHA/ARC) certification

Responsibilities

• Assess and document patient health status on admission using age-specific care considerations.
• Develop and implement care plans based on health status data with critical thinking.
• Document interventions accurately and timely; collaborate with the health care team.
• Evaluate interventions and adjust care plan as needed.
• Adhere to hospital policies and nursing standards in oncology care.
• Provide patient and family education and ensure clear communication.
