Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking an experienced RN for its Acute Care Adult Medical Oncology Unit (3 East) on its Main Campus. The role involves inpatient oncology care, including IV therapy, blood product transfusions, and pain management, with potential involvement in BMT cross-training.

The candidate will work in a 30-bed unit with rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays, collaborating with LPNs and nursing staff. Ohio RN licensure and BLS are required; chemo certification is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current RN license in Ohio.
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.
• PRN requires 1 year RN experience.
• PRN must possess required certifications on hire.

Responsibilities

• Administer IV medications and blood products
• Provide hospice and palliative care as needed
• Coordinate care with LPNs, PCNAs, and providers
• Maintain chemotherapy certification and safety protocols
