Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Oncology RN to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to patients in Wisconsin. You will administer chemotherapy and biotherapy, manage central lines, monitor responses, and educate patients and families on diagnoses, side effects, and symptom management.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license in applicable state(s).
• BSN strongly preferred.
• OCN certification or eligibility within 18–24 months.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Chemotherapy/biotherapy certification (e.g., ONS) preferred.
• Experience with EMR systems and oncology order sets.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to oncology patients across the treatment continuum.
• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, and supportive medications; monitor and manage adverse reactions.
• Perform comprehensive assessments, develop and update individualized care plans, and document in the EMR.
• Collaborate with oncologists, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate safe, effective care.
• Provide patient and family education on diagnosis, treatment options, side effects, and symptom management.
• Monitor lab results, vital signs, and treatment response; elevate concerns per clinical protocols.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards including USP <800>, infection control, and chemotherapy handling guidelines.
• Advocate for patients’ physical and emotional needs, connecting them with appropriate support resources.
• Participate in quality improvement, tumor boards, and continuing education to maintain oncology competencies.
