Job summary

University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a Project Manager to oversee 2–3 oncology team science projects funded by federal or private sources. You will be the main contact for internal partners and ensure research activities stay on schedule.

The role includes managing grant paperwork, scheduling meetings, and supporting grant renewals and progress reports while coordinating with health care facilities. 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, 6+ month appointment, hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent training and experience.
• Experience with cancer research is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with timelines and deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Manage 2–3 federally or privately funded oncology team science projects.
• Serve as the primary contact for internal study partners and maintain schedules.
• Handle day-to-day project operations and funder-facing grant paperwork.
• Coordinate research meetings, retreats, and grant renewals.
• Assist with grant and project budgeting and progress reports.
