Job summary

Community Health Network is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Oncology Research in Indianapolis, IN. The role will be shared between the North and East Cancer Centers, with day shifts (M-F 8 hours) and a hiring bonus.

The Research Nurse will manage patient care in oncology protocols, assess and implement study procedures, and collaborate with the Principal Investigator and team to ensure safe, compliant research operations.

Qualifications

  • - Two-year/associate's degree in nursing from NLN CCNE- or ACEN-accredited program, or two years of related nursing experience.
  • - Indiana RN license (NLC) required.
  • - Two years of recent Oncology experience strongly preferred; some research experience preferred.
  • - Must obtain Certified Clinical Research Coordinator Certification (CCRC) within 3 years of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Manage patient care in oncology research protocols in conjunction with the Principal Investigator and clinical research team.
  • Assess, plan, implement and execute clinical research protocols in the health care continuum.
  • Demonstrates collaboration, delegation, negotiation and management of resources.

The Research Registered Nurse demonstrates performance consistent with professional standards of practice, care, performance, the Nurse Practice Act and the mission and goals of the organization. Manages patient care in the health care continuum to achieve optimum outcomes in a safe and cost-effective manner. Demonstrates skills in collaboration, delegation, negotiation and management of resources. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and executing clinical research protocols in conjunction with the Principal Investigator and clinical research team.

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications

-2 year / Associate's Degree Graduate of National League for Nursing (NLN) Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited school of nursing or two years of related professional nursing experience. (Required)

-Required Certifications/Licensures:(Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)

-2 years of recent Oncology experience is strongly preferred; some research experience is preferred.

-Must obtain Certified Clinical Research Coordinator Certification (CCRC) within 3-years of hire.
