Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join the Solid Tumor Research team at Clements University Hospital. The APP will support Phase I solid tumor research patients and expand to other oncology populations as the program grows.

The role requires collaboration with physicians and research partners while maintaining independent clinical practice, with prescreening, patient management, study review, and reporting responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Requires oncology Advanced Practice Provider experience and ability to work with physicians and research partners.
• Experience in research patient management, prescreening, study reviews, and reporting is preferred.
• Graduate degree from an ARC-PA accredited PA program or an advanced nursing degree with board-authorized practice.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations based on age and diagnosis.
• Develop and evaluate patient care plans using lab, imaging, and diagnostic results.
• Demonstrate proficiency in technical and procedural skills relevant to oncology APP tasks.
• Provide management, referrals, counseling, and education to patients and families.
• Support quality initiatives and clinical research protocols to improve practice performance.
• Collaborate on research projects and apply evidence-based practices to patient care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
