Job summary

START Center for Cancer Research seeks an Oncology Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to support Phase I and early-phase oncology trials. The APP/NP acts as a sub-investigator under the PI, coordinating patient care at our West Valley City, Utah site.

Responsibilities include protocol-driven exams and visits, medical histories, screening support, AE/SAE documentation, and collaboration with RN, pharmacy, and data teams to ensure compliant trial delivery.

Qualifications

• Advanced practice degree with current licensure in the applicable state.
• Minimum of 5 years oncology clinical care or oncology clinical research.
• National certification as NP or PA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as sub-investigator on assigned early-phase trials under the PI.
• Conduct protocol-required physical examinations and study visits.
• Prepare comprehensive medical histories and summaries for patient consults.
• Assist with screening activities and chart review for eligibility.
• Support post-consent screening and protocol-specific questions.
• Document adverse events (AEs/SAEs) and participate in safety calls as needed.
• Coordinate with nursing, pharmacy, coordinators, and data management for compliant trial delivery.
