Job summary

Amergis, Travel Oncology Registered Nurse position in Stanford, CA, seeks an RN to evaluate, plan, implement, and document oncology care across hospital and outpatient settings.

You will assist with surgery prep, patient education, and coordination of cancer treatments, including chemotherapy and infusions, while monitoring vitals, side effects, and pain.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state practicing.
• One year of oncology nursing experience preferred.
• CPR certification current if applicable.
• Health certificate current per contract or state regulations.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, implement and document nursing care for oncology patients.
• Assist with surgery preparation and patient education.
• Coordinate cancer treatments in hospital settings.
• Support chemotherapy and infusion administration in outpatient centers while monitoring vitals, side effects and pain.

Job description

The Oncology Registered Nurse evaluates, plans, implementsand documents nursing care for the oncology patient population. The OncologyRegistered Nurse works in hospitals and outpatient care centers where patientsreceive cancer treatments. In hospitalsettings, the Oncology Registered Nurse assists with surgery prep, patienteducation and coordination of their cancer treatments. In outpatient care center settings, theOncology Registered Nurse typically helps with treatments such as chemotherapyand infusions while monitoring patients’ vitals, side effects, and pain.

• Current RN license in state practicing
• One (1) year of experience in oncology nursing preferred
• Current CPR if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
