Job summary

Amergis is seeking an Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) for travel assignments in Colorado Springs, CO. You will evaluate, plan, implement and document nursing care for oncology patients across hospital and outpatient settings, including surgery prep and coordination of treatments.

In outpatient centers, you may assist with chemotherapy and infusions, monitor vitals, manage side effects, and provide patient education. Travel roles include 40-hour weeks with competitive weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state practicing.
• One year of Oncology nursing experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current health certificate per contract or state regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

The Oncology Registered Nurse evaluates, plans, implements and documents nursing care for the oncology patient population. The Oncology Registered Nurse works in hospitals and outpatient care centers where patients receive cancer treatments. In hospital settings, the Oncology Registered Nurse assists with surgery prep, patient education and coordination of their cancer treatments. In outpatient care center settings, the Oncology Registered Nurse typically helps with treatments such as chemotherapy and infusions while monitoring patients’ vitals, side effects, and pain.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current RN license in state practicing

• One (1) year of experience in oncology nursing preferred

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
