Job summary

Hawaii Cancer Care in Honolulu, HI seeks a Registered Nurse to provide safe, accurate patient care including assessment, review of labs and vital signs, medication safety, dose verification and drug administration according to JBIs. Qualifications

• RN license in state of employment or multi-state license.
• Current CPR and BLS certifications.
• Valid Driver’s License and vehicle for travel to other clinic locations as needed.
• Experience with hematology/oncology patients in a clinic or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, accurate patient care including assessment, review of labs and vital signs, medication safety, dose verification and drug administration.
• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biotherapy and supportive care as ordered; follow Oncology Nurse Society standards.
• Educate patients and caregivers about medications, side effects and planned treatment course.
• Triage telephone calls and prioritize patient needs from emergent to non-urgent.
• Document treatment accurately in the EMR and ensure proper charges for medications and activities.
• Assist in inventory management and restocking of medical supplies; attend mandatory trainings and staff meetings.
• May work at multiple company locations and overtime may be required with notice.
