Job summary
Cancer Care Specialists of Illinois is seeking a Registered Nurse (Full Time) to join our oncology/hematology team in O'Fallon, IL. You will manage and coordinate nursing care, assess patients, plan and implement treatments, and document care using the EMR.
The role requires IL nursing licensure and CPR certification; chemotherapy certification is preferred or obtainable. The RN will support the nursing unit, collaborate with physicians and pharmacists, and participate in essential duties across
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current licensure in the State of Illinois for practice as a professional nurse.
- Chemotherapy certification preferred or willingness to become certified.
- Current CPR certification.
- Must take EPIC training and successfully pass required tests.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care to oncology patients according to care plans.
- Coordinate chemotherapy scheduling and treatments with the care team.
- Document patient information in EMR and ensure accuracy.
- Assess patient conditions and respond to changes during treatments.
- Educate patients and families about treatment and potential side effects.
