Job summary

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is seeking an Oncology Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive care for oncology and hematology patients. The role includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care in a multidisciplinary setting.

The RN will administer chemotherapy and other infusions, provide education and psychosocial support, and collaborate with a broad care team to optimize patient outcomes. Schedule: 40 hours/week, days 9am–5:30pm, Hem/Oncology Clinical Nursing.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred).
• BLS Required (AHA ACLS accepted).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivers expert, evidence-based nursing care to patients and families.
• Implements nursing process: Assessment, Nursing Diagnosis, Planning, Implementation, Evaluation.
• Assesses patient and family needs.
• Promotes health care outcomes per clinical guidelines.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to maximize outcomes.
• Plans and implements care with measurable goals.
• Administers chemotherapy and other treatments per policy.
• Educates patients and families about treatment modalities and symptom management.
• Maintains documentation for regulatory compliance.
