Merck is seeking a Regional Medical Scientific Director (RMSD) to lead scientific exchange with national and regional leaders in oncology, ensuring rigorous, non-promotional information sharing about company programs. You will support investigator-initiated and sponsored trials, discuss study concepts, and provide expert scientific guidance to clinical researchers.

Formación

• PhD, Pharm.D, MD, or DNP required.
• Clinical (patient care) or deep research experience in oncology.
• Minimum 3 years' experience and proven therapeutic competence in oncology.
• Ability to conduct doctoral level discussions with key external stakeholders.
• Strong focus on scientific education and dialogue.
• Business and market knowledge, including quality management.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and networking skills.
• Must possess a thorough understanding of FDA, OIG, HIPAA and related regulations.
• Must be able to organize, prioritize, and work effectively in a changing environment.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access).

Responsabilidades

• Develop relationships with national and regional scientific leaders to share information on therapeutic areas and company products.
• Conduct peer-to-peer scientific discussions and maintain a reliable presence with scientific leaders.
• Support Company-Sponsored Trials to enhance understanding and enrollment or address investigator questions.
• Initiate discussions with potential investigators to determine interest and qualifications.
• Recommend potential study sites to Global Clinical Trial Operations/Clinical Research.
• Address requests from investigators for information regarding participation in studies.
• Share the company's areas of interest and discuss study concepts for scientific merit.
• Respond to unsolicited requests with guidelines or technical and scientific advice.
• Provide education and training to maintain current knowledge of the scientific environment.
• Direct inquiries on issues outside RMSD scope to appropriate resources.
• Identify potential investigators for participation in clinical development programs.
• Attend scientific and medical meetings.
