Merck & Co., Inc. is seeking an Oncology Regional Medical Scientific Director (RMSD) to lead scientific exchange with national and regional leaders.

The role requires a credentialed degree (MD/PhD/PharmD) and focuses on non-promotional, scientifically grounded information sharing about cancer care and trial support. The RMSD will support investigator-initiated and company-sponsored trials, answer scientific questions, and guide site and investigator discussions.

Qualifikationen

• Clinical (patient care) or deep research experience in oncology beyond the degree.
• Minimum 3 years' experience and proven oncology competence.
• Ability to discuss with external stakeholders at doctoral level.
• Strong focus on scientific education and dialogue.
• Business knowledge including quality management.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and networking skills.
• Understanding of FDA, HIPAA, OIG and related ethical guidelines.

Aufgaben

• Develop professional relationships with national/regional scientific leaders.
• Conduct peer-to-peer scientific discussions and maintain medical contacts.
• Support Company-Sponsored Trials to explain scientific foundations and goals.
• Initiate discussions with potential investigators to assess interest.
• Recommend study sites to GCTO/Clinical Research.
• Address investigator information requests regarding studies.
• Share areas of scientific interest and assess merit of study concepts.
• Provide high-level information on Investigator Study Program processes.
• Attend scientific and medical meetings and train team members.
