Merck & Co., Inc. in the USA is seeking an Oncology Regional Medical Scientific Director (RMSD) to lead scientific exchange with external leaders, focusing on the scientific value of our oncology portfolio.

This is a field-based Medical Affairs role covering the greater Los Angeles area, requiring residency in territory and travel up to 50%. Doctoral-level credentials (PhD, MD, PharmD, or DNP) and at least three years of oncology experience are required.

Qualifications

• Doctoral or professional degree in relevant field.
• Clinical or deep research experience in oncology.
• Minimum 3 years' oncology experience.
• Ability to discuss with external stakeholders at doctoral level.
• Strong knowledge of FDA, HIPAA, OIG and related ethical guidelines.

Responsabilités

• Develop relationships with national and regional scientific leaders to share medical information.
• Conduct peer-to-peer scientific discussions and maintain presence with leaders.
• Support Company-Sponsored Trials to aid enrollment and address investigator questions.
• Identify potential investigators and study sites for trials.
• Share areas of interest and discuss study concepts with scientific leaders.
• Attend scientific and medical meetings.
