Job summary

GlaxoSmithKline seeks a Director, Global Real-World Evidence & Health Outcomes Scientist, Oncology, to lead evidence generation across assets. You will shape study concepts, mentor teams, and collaborate with medical, market access and R&D functions to support value propositions and pricing.

The role emphasizes cross-functional leadership, strategic alignment, and external partnerships to inform payer decisions and patient access.

Qualifications

• MSc or equivalent in health outcomes or related field.
• 3+ years pharma experience, preferably in a multinational.
• Experience in Oncology or Hematology.
• Experience planning and delivering projects with budgets.
• Experience with real-world evidence studies and HTA submissions.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design and execute multiple studies for assets and manage timelines.
• Assure quality of deliverables and study documentation per SOPs.
• Advise asset teams and external experts on evidence needs.
• Translate evidence needs into study concepts aligned with asset strategy.
• Develop knowledge of real-world data resources and partnerships.
• Understand customer needs and HTA requirements for evidence.
• Collaborate across medical, market access, R&D and commercial teams.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders through reporting.
• Engage external thought leaders to guide methods and agendas.
