Job summary

ApotheCom, an Inizio Medical company, is seeking a senior Medical Director – Publications to lead the scientific team and provide strategic account oversight. The role focuses on oncology publications, client-facing leadership, and mentoring staff across multiple locations.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years in medical communications with oncology expertise, US launch experience, and a proven track record in strategic publication leadership.

Qualifications

• PhD, PharmD, or MD with 10+ years in medical communications focused on oncology.
• Proven scientific leadership across multiple clients and therapeutic areas.
• US launch experience; global experience is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; mentoring staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage scientific team responsible for delivery of a full range of strategic publication focus.
• Under the guidance of the scientific VP, lead and manage account to ensure high-quality medical content.
• Develop and grow publication work partnering with VPs of scientific and client services and managing directors.
• Identify and develop strategic and tactical business recommendations relevant to client strategy and marketplace needs.
• Develop / lead / facilitate key strategy workshops.
• Demonstrate a high level of comfort articulating scientific and therapeutic information in Oncology.
• Foster innovation and collaboration across ApotheCom to position agency as leader in publication work.
