Job summary

ApotheCom, an Inizio Company, is a leading medical communications firm seeking a Medical Director to provide editorial, scientific, and strategic leadership across publications, medical affairs, and promotional accounts. You will work with client teams to align objectives and ensure high-quality deliverables.

You will supervise manuscript development, perform literature reviews, and translate clinical data for specialist physicians and consumer audiences.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in life sciences, pharmacology or medicine.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines and juggle multiple projects.
• Strong financial, administrative and organizational skills, including multi-tasking.
• Strong client communication skills – ability to work with client and faculty members.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a team or independently.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Ensure medical communications are accurate and clinically relevant.
• Consult with key opinion leaders in therapeutic areas.
• Maintain knowledge of developments and trends in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Partner with clients on goals and objectives to deliver high-quality products.
• Synthesize clinical trial data for physician and consumer audiences as required.
• Attend and help design investigator meetings and advisory boards.
• Assist in writing manuscripts, white papers, monographs, slides and abstracts.
• Edit medical documents and provide quality control for writers.
