Job summary

Nucleus Global, an Inizio Medical company, is seeking a Scientific Director – Publications to lead the publication science team and provide strategic oversight for key accounts in oncology. The role offers remote or hybrid work options for candidates based in the United States.

With 10+ years in medical communications and a proven leadership track, you will guide publication strategy, mentor staff across locations, and drive growth across client programs, including US launches.

Qualifications

• PhD, PharmD, or MD with 10+ years of medical communications experience and an in-depth understanding of publication oncology work.
• Track record of successful scientific leadership across several clients/therapeutic categories.
• US launch experience required; global experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage the scientific team responsible for the delivery of a full range of strategic publication focus.
• Under the guidance of the scientific VP, lead and manage the account to ensure the creation of high-quality, accurate medical/scientific content, and expand management responsibilities as the team grows.
• Develop and grow publication work in partnership with VPs of scientific and client services and managing directors.
• Identify and develop strategic and tactical business recommendations relevant to client strategy and marketplace needs.
• Develop, lead, and facilitate key strategy workshops.
• Demonstrate a high level of comfort articulating scientific and therapeutic information in lung cancer.
• Foster innovation and collaboration across Nucleus to position the agency as a leader in publication work.
