Job summary

Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem seeks a Post-Award Grants & Clinical Trials Manager to independently coordinate management of grant and trial-related expenditures and financial transactions. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance or related field with 4–6 years of directly related experience.
• Experience with post-award management, oversight of grant/clinical trial expenditures and financial transactions.
• Ability to multi-task and oversee several projects while meeting deadlines.
• Strong analytical, time management, customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn department-specific systems.

Responsibilities

• Assures post-award grant/clinical trials administration in accordance with federal guidelines.
• Oversees processing and establishment of new awards, reviews grant/clinical trial agreements for compliance.
• Reviews and analyzes new awards and ensures timely receipt of cost center from central office.
• Manages and tracks incoming fully executed awards and contracts.
• Performs monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, auditing and invoicing in coordination with central offices.
• Responsible for time-and-effort reporting and compliance.
• Processes participant stipends and/or travel reimbursement requests.
• Produces ad hoc reports as needed and maintains archives of closed grants and contracts.
• Advises PIs and leadership on regulations affecting post-award activities and funding opportunities.
• Performs subrecipient monitoring and ensures accurate expense reporting and close-out processes.
