Job summary

Inova Health is seeking a Research Manager for the Phase 1 Program in Fairfax, VA. This full-time, day-shift role oversees staff, ensures regulatory compliance, and manages the financial and academic portfolio for early-stage cancer studies.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant experience and at least 3 years of research experience. Preferred candidates have experience in oncology trials within hospital or academic settings.

Responsibilities

• Oversees assigned department or functional area, hiring/training staff, and delegating tasks.
• Ensures all program research studies comply with regulations and operate smoothly.
• Ensures educational information is available on Inova's public website for research purposes.
• Initiates corrective action plans to maintain compliance with policies.
• Develops and oversees research study budgets to ensure productive outcomes.
• Provides reporting on financial/academic productivity and compliance updates.
• Supervises research program staff in carrying out complex research activities.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
