US Oncology Inc. in Chicago is seeking a Medically Integrated Dispensary (MID) Pharmacy Technician to join our full-time team.

Under physician supervision, you will handle in-office dispensing of oral drugs for oncology patients, maintain records, manage inventory, and assist with financial assistance programs. You will gain training in IV admixture for chemotherapy, process prescriptions in the EMR, submit insurance claims, and support clinic staff with pharmacy workflows while meeting

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician certificate or state license is required.
• Retail pharmacy experience is preferred (3–5 years).
• IV admixture training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate patient records including demographics, medication profiles and insurance information.
• Process prescriptions and submit insurance claims using the EMR and pharmacy management system.
• Conduct benefits investigations and prior authorizations with third-party payers.
• Assist patients with financial assistance programs and copay support.
• Prepare and label prescriptions in compliance with regulations and obtain required approvals.
