Qualifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician certificate recommended unless required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate patient records, including demographics, current medication list, disease states, allergy and insurance information.
• Process prescriptions, billing, and fulfillment in the pharmacy system for oncology prescriptions.
• Submit prior authorizations and coordinate with clinical staff for quick approvals.
• Manage dispensary inventory and ensure cost-effective drug purchasing.
• Document patient interactions in the EHR and monitor refills and adherence.
• Ensure prescriptions are checked for accuracy by a physician or pharmacist.
• Assist patients with financial assistance programs and PBM-related tasks.
• Adhere to infection-control procedures and safety standards.
