Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have working-level knowledge of English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Prefer High School Diploma or equivalent with proficient math skills.
• 1 year of hospital or community pharmacy experience; 2+ years sterile compounding preferred.
• Licensed by the Nevada State Board of Pharmacy.
• National certification (CPhT or CSPT) or able to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Computer skills to complete online learning, forms and benefits enrollment; typing 30 wpm.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely preparation and distribution of medications and IV solutions, including sterile hazardous drugs.
• Dispense chemotherapy, bio therapy, hazardous, investigational drugs; follow USP 797/800 guidelines.
• Collaborate with oncology team to support patient treatment plans.
• Operate and maintain sterile compounding equipment; perform routine cleaning and maintenance.
• Assist pharmacist with training new technicians and cost-containment practices.
• Handle inpatient/outpatient medication orders and use pharmacy computer systems.
