Job summary

MultiCare Cancer Institute in Washington state seeks a Pharmacy Technician Specialist – Hazardous Compound to support oncology and infusion patients. The role involves compounding, coordination of equipment and supplies, and adherence to sterile extemporaneous compounding standards.

You will work with pharmacists and care teams to ensure safe, efficient operations; WA Pharmacy Technician license and approved training are required, with hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of WA Board of Pharmacy approved Pharmacy Technician Training Program.
• Current Washington State Board of Pharmacy Technician License.
• Experience in IV sterile compounding, both hazardous and non-hazardous.
• Hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with manipulative and non-discretionary pharmacy tasks.
• Collaborate with health professionals to support infusion patients.
• Coordinate equipment and supplies for the unit.
• Follow sterile extemporaneous compounding procedures, including use of hazardous chemicals.
