Job summary

American Oncology Network, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to manage chemotherapy preparation, medication dispensing, and inventory across clinics. You will work under supervision, ensuring compliance with state regulations and patient privacy rules.

The role requires at least three years in healthcare, PTCB certification or active technician registration, and willingness to travel for training and educational meetings.

Qualifications

• PTCB Certification or Pharmacy Technician registration required.
• Minimum of three years' experience in healthcare, preferably in a clinical setting.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to educational and research meetings and training sessions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and mix chemotherapy drugs under supervision and in compliance with state regulations.
• Maintain proficiency with the Nucleus medication dispensing system and ensure accurate dispensing.
• Review next-day orders with nursing staff to anticipate special medication needs.
• Order, stock, and track medical supplies and medications, ensuring appropriate inventory levels.
• Maintain records for compassionate drug programs, clinical trials, and related processes.
• Assist in training new pharmacy technicians and nursing staff on chemotherapy preparation and Nucleus workflows.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, supervisors, and pharmaceutical representatives as needed to support patient care and operational needs.
