Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Director to oversee daily operations, safety, and high-quality patient care at its Winston-Salem facilities. You will ensure compliance with ASHP, USP, ISMP standards and medical regulations while guiding budgeting and staffing.

You will lead system initiatives, drive quality improvement, and collaborate with site leaders to achieve goals and enhance interdisciplinary services. A state pharmacy license and strong leadership are required.

Qualifications

Pharmacist license required in the practice state.
Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy.
Typically requires 5 years of health system pharmacy experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.

Responsibilities

Manage daily operations by setting priorities, directing work, solving problems and monitoring department performance.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal rules and accrediting standards (ASHP, USP, ISMP).
Oversee staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and efficient use of supplies.
Lead quality and safety initiatives and medication safety reporting.
Collaborate with system and site leaders to meet goals and implement initiatives.
Lead HR activities including hiring, development, evaluations, and morale.
