Job summary

The Ohio State University seeks an Assistant Director of Pharmacy to provide strategic leadership for inpatient hematology/oncology clinical pharmacy services and to oversee hematology/oncology pharmacists in both inpatient and ambulatory care settings. This role supports patients with hematologic malignancies, solid tumors, and related complex conditions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy.
• Registered Pharmacist.
• 5 years of relevant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for inpatient hematology/oncology clinical pharmacy services; supervise hematology/oncology clinical pharmacists in inpatient and ambulatory care settings.
• Recruit, orient, develop, manage performance, and evaluate the hematology/oncology pharmacotherapy team.
• Identify and resolve service needs and practice challenges; advance evidence-based clinical pharmacy practice.
• Oversee pharmacist privileges and competencies; support departmental financial management and budgeting.
• Participate in the development and implementation of departmental strategic priorities; lead clinical programs, pathways, policies, and medication-use initiatives related to inpatient hematology/oncology care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners to advance patient care, medication safety, clinical practice, research, and education.
• Support implementation and evaluation of new programs and services; provide clinical staffing as needed; promote professional development and educational opportunities for pharmacists, residents, students, and other healthcare professionals.
