Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy.

• 5 years of relevant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for inpatient hematology/oncology clinical pharmacy services; supervise hematology/oncology clinical pharmacists in inpatient and ambulatory care settings.
• Recruit, orient, develop, manage performance, and evaluate the hematology/oncology pharmacotherapy team.
• Identify and resolve service needs and practice challenges; advance evidence-based clinical pharmacy practice.
• Oversee pharmacist privileges and competencies; support departmental financial management and budgeting.
• Participate in the development and implementation of departmental strategic priorities; lead clinical programs, pathways, policies, and medication-use initiatives related to inpatient hematology/oncology care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners to advance patient care, medication safety, clinical practice, research, and education.
• Support implementation and evaluation of new programs and services; provide clinical staffing as needed; promote professional development and educational opportunities for pharmacists, residents, students, and other healthcare professionals.

The Assistant Director ensures safe, effective, evidence-based, and patient-centered medication management; advances clinical pharmacy practice; supports staff development and performance; and promotes compliance with applicable regulatory, accreditation, and institutional standards. The role collaborates with pharmacy leadership, physicians, nursing, and other interdisciplinary partners to optimize medication-use processes, implement quality and safety initiatives, develop and evaluate clinical programs, and advance oncology care, research, and education.
