Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center seeks an Assistant Director of Pharmacy to provide strategic leadership for inpatient hematology/oncology clinical pharmacy services and to supervise a team of hematology/oncology pharmacists in both inpatient and ambulatory settings.

Responsibilities include building clinical programs, managing staff performance, and ensuring evidence-based, patient-centered medication management while aligning with regulatory and institutional standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy required.
• Registered Pharmacist.
• 5 years of relevant experience required.
• 8-12 years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment, orientation, professional development, performance management, and evaluation of the hematology/oncology clinical pharmacist team.
• Identification and resolution of service needs and practice challenges.
• Advancement of evidence-based clinical pharmacy practice.
• Oversight of pharmacist privileges, competencies, and support of departmental financial management and budgeting.
• Participation in the development and implementation of departmental strategic priorities.
• Lead the development and implementation of clinical programs, pathways, policies, and medication-use initiatives related to inpatient hematology/oncology care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners to advance patient care, medication safety, clinical practice, research, and education.
• Support the implementation and evaluation of new programs and services, provide clinical staffing as needed, and promote professional development and educational opportunities for pharmacists, residents, students, and other healthcare professionals.
