Job summary

Novant Health Oncology Pharmacy Supervisor in Florida is seeking an experienced leader to guide our oncology pharmacy operations and ensure safe, patient-centered medication management.

This role oversees daily operations, staff development, and collaboration with clinicians to optimize patient outcomes; travel between facilities may be required. The ideal candidate holds a pharmacy license and demonstrated leadership and compliance focus.

Qualifications

• 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in a related field is required.
• Ph. D./M.D./D.D.S. is preferred.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
• Current Pharmacy licensure in appropriate state(s), or must be completed within 90 days of hire.
• Either examination or reciprocity is required.
• Ability to drive/travel to multiple locations/facilities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily oncology pharmacy operations to ensure safe, effective, and compliant medication management.
• Support front-line pharmacy activities, including medication order clarification, verification, and workflow oversight.
• Supervise, coach, and develop pharmacy team members through ongoing feedback, performance support, and onboarding.
• Assist with recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and staff engagement initiatives.
• Manage staffing and work assignments to meet patient care needs, operational goals, and budget expectations.
• Monitor operational and quality metrics, identify opportunities for improvement, and lead process enhancement initiatives.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and pharmacy services.
• Promote staff education, teamwork, and participation in quality improvement and departmental initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and pharmacy practice standards.
• Communicate operational priorities, project updates, and performance outcomes to pharmacy leadership.
