Qualifications

• Enrolled in University of Washington School of Pharmacy.
• Pharmacy Intern License.

• Ability to communicate verbally in person, on the phone, and in writing in a clear, concise and professional manner.
• Able to perform basic pharmaceutical calculations.
• Ability to use a mouse, navigate computer programs, enter data into computer systems accurately and efficiently.
• Familiarity with the generic names of drugs along with the basic indication.

Responsibilities

• Hazardous and Non-Hazardous Sterile Compounding.
• Pyxis Refilling.
• Investigational Drug Services.
• Retail Pharmacy Dispensing.
• Counseling Patients.
• Prepares, packages, and labels medication in an accurate and efficient manner.
• Charging and billing functions.
• Operates CII safe and follows all controlled substance procedures.
• Filling and documentation of pyxis, emergency/code boxes and code trays.
• Monitors stock for expiration dates and removes outdates.
• Medication reconciliation.
• Delivery of patient specific medications to infusion or other areas of the clinic.
• Other pharmacy related duties in accordance with regulations under Washing State Pharmacy Quality Assurance Commission.
