Job summary

The US Oncology Network in Newark, Delaware, is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Operations Manager to oversee the daily activities of the pharmacy and admixture services, ensuring compliance and high-quality care for oncology patients.

The role will lead budgeting, drug management programs, reporting, recruitment and training, policy implementation, and best-practice initiatives across retail and infusion sites, with some travel between locations.

Qualifications

• PharmD from an accredited school of pharmacy.
• Minimum seven years of pharmacy experience, with at least 3 years oncology pharmacy experience; management experience preferred.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist.
• PGY2 oncology residency or BCOP certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operational Management: Manages the daily operations of pharmacy and admixture services, ensuring efficient workflow.
• Financial Oversight: Prepares and manages the overall budget for each retail pharmacy site and the company.
• Drug Management Program: Develops and coordinates the drug management program for all sites.
• Reporting: Prepares reports for physician governing boards and site administrators.
• Recruitment and Training: Assists with recruitment, hiring, and training of pharmacists and technicians.
• Policy Implementation: Establishes and implements policies for operation of retail pharmacy sites.
• Best Practices: Identifies and disseminates best practices across sites.
• Compliance: Performs annual audits to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Supervision: Supervises the activities of pharmacists and pharmacy staff.
