Job summary

The Ohio State University James Cancer Hospital is seeking an Assistant Director of Pharmacy to lead hematology/oncology clinical pharmacy services and supervise a team of pharmacists in inpatient and ambulatory settings.

You will recruit, orient, and develop staff, advance evidence-based practice, and ensure regulatory and institutional standards are met while coordinating with physicians, nursing, and other partners to optimize medication-use and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy.
Registered Pharmacist.
5 years of relevant experience required.
8-12 years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership for inpatient hematology/oncology clinical pharmacy services.
Supervise hematology/oncology clinical pharmacists in inpatient and ambulatory care settings.
Oversee recruitment, orientation, and professional development of staff.
Manage performance, evaluate staff, and address service needs and challenges.
Advance evidence-based clinical pharmacy practice and ensure patient safety and quality.
Oversee pharmacist privileges, competencies, and department budgeting.
Develop and implement clinical programs, pathways, policies, and medication-use initiatives.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners to improve patient care and education.
Support new programs, staff staffing, and educational opportunities for learners.
