Job summary

The US Oncology Network is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join the Waconia Clinic team. Under physician supervision, you will prepare medications, verify orders, and maintain compliance with OSHA and department guidelines.

You will handle chemotherapy-admixed and non-chemo IVs, track inventory, and ensure accurate documentation. A HS diploma and pharmacy experience are required; certification preferred and may be required within the first year.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2-3 years of pharmacy technician or related health care experience.
• Knowledge of pharmaceuticals, pharmacy calculations, and related medical technology.
• Certification with Pharmacy Technician Board or State may be required within first year.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of medication orders by compounding or admixing under physician supervision.
• Check orders for completeness and verify patient information and physician authorization.
• Admix drugs as ordered in a timely manner per guidelines and OSHA standards.
• Calculate correct dosage volumes and convert between metrics.
• Assist in counting controlled drugs and maintain related records.
• Maintain temperature logs and protocol drug logs; ensure proper documentation.
