The role emphasizes precise dosage calculations, inventory control, and collaboration with nurses and pharmacists to ensure safe patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 2–3 years pharmacy technician or related health care experience.
• Knowledge of pharmaceuticals and pharmacy calculations.
• Pharmacy technician certification preferred; first-year certification may be required.
• IV/chemo compounding experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in medication order preparation under physician supervision.
• Verify orders for completeness and patient info.
• Admix drugs as ordered, follow safety and guidelines.
• Calculate dosage volumes and unit conversions.
• Help maintain inventory and proper documentation.
