Job summary

The Oncology Patient Care Coordinator at MUSC Hollings Cancer Center provides individualized assistance to patients and caregivers to overcome healthcare system barriers and promote timely access to quality care.

Reporting to the Navigation & Supportive Care Director, the role supports informed decision-making and acts as a liaison among multidisciplinary providers to ensure seamless initial treatment planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent healthcare experience required.
• Knowledge of complex medical terminology and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and in teams, with excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in navigating the healthcare system and reinforce treatment plans.
• Coordinate scheduling and act as liaison between patients, caregivers and providers.
• Identify gaps in care and communicate opportunities for care intervention.
