Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a dedicated patient care assistant to provide routine care under nurse or physician supervision. You will assist with ambulation, feeding, and daily activities while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include responding to call lights, coordinating appointments, handling supplies, and supporting clerical tasks, all while maintaining confidentiality and teamwork in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CNA licensure preferred/required depending on role.
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow directions.

Responsabilidades

• Provide routine patient care: ambulating, bathing, positioning, feeding and assist with care needs.
• Respond promptly to patient call lights and attend to patient belongings.
• Greet visitors, answer inquiries and assist with messages and errands.
• Ambulate patients, measure intakes/outputs and assist with transport.
• Coordinate diagnostic/therapeutic service requests and outpatient appointments.
• Handle supplies, equipment, and related forms; assist with admissions/discharges.
