Avera McKennan Hospital is seeking a dedicated hospital care assistant to support routine patient care and comfort. The role involves ambulating patients, assisting with meals, and attending to general needs under nurse or physician direction.

Essential duties include responding to call lights, coordinating with departments, and performing clerical support to maintain orderly patient areas. A CNA certification is preferred, with full-time hours and a weekend/holiday rotation in Sioux Falls.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification preferred.
• Able to perform essential job functions with good communication and patient care skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide routine patient care: ambulating, bathing, positioning, entering diet information into the computer system, passing meal trays, feeding and attending to care needs.
• Respond to patient call lights promptly and assist with inquiries; coordinate with nurses and physicians.
• Greet visitors, relay messages, assist with gifts, flowers, and mail; run errands for department staff.
