Avera McKennan Hospital is seeking a Regular Worker to provide routine patient care under the direction of the nurse or physician. You will assist with ambulation, bathing, positioning, and basic care tasks to support high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include responding to call lights, delivering meals, helping with admissions/discharges, coordinating with departments, and performing clerical duties as needed.

Aufgaben

• Provides safe and direct patient care: ambulating, bathing, positioning, feeding and other care needs.
• Responds promptly to patient call lights and attends to valuables.
• Greets visitors, answers inquiries, may direct and assist them, and handles messages.
• Ambulates patients, assists in/out of wheelchairs, measures intake/output, may collect specimens.
• Answers telephone, operates paging system, and assists during emergencies.
• Prepares requisitions for diagnostic and therapeutic services and coordinates appointments.
• Makes outpatient appointments for discharging patients.
• Requests services such as chaplain, social services, and pastoral care.
• Performs clerical duties related to admissions, discharges, charts, transfers, and related forms.
• Manages interdepartmental and patient mail.
• Maintains patient rooms, changes bed linens, and provides routine cleaning tasks.
