Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Patient Care Technician to assist Registered Nurses in direct and indirect patient care across unit floors. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy in vital signs, and timely response to patient needs in alignment with the Patient First philosophy.

The ideal candidate will have a CNA certification or be enrolled in nursing education, CPR (BLS) certification, and a high school diploma.

Formación

• CNA certification or current enrollment in SON with basic clinical rotations.
• CPR recognition by the American Heart Association (BLS for Healthcare Providers).
• High school diploma required; one year of college or nursing education or equivalent preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
• Record vitals (temp, pulse, respirations, BP) and monitor patient status.
• Perform direct patient care tasks and follow RN/PSN instructions.
• Support newborn and pediatric monitoring as directed by the RN.
• Transport patients and supplies; respond to call lights promptly.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and stock supplies for daily operations.
