Job summary

The US Oncology Network, working with Texas Oncology in Beaumont, is seeking a Patient Benefits Representative to educate patients on insurance coverage and financial assistance. Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associates degree in Finance, Business or four years revenue cycle experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Educate patients on insurance coverage and benefits.
  • Assess patient financial ability and discuss payment arrangements.
  • Complete reimbursement and liability forms for patient review and signature.
  • Obtain insurance pre-authorization or referral codes prior to treatment.
  • Ensure accurate entry of patient co-pay amounts.
  • Update patient demographics and insurance coverage at visits.
  • Develop relationships with financial aide providers.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA.
