Job summary

Avera Cancer Institute-Sioux Falls is seeking an experienced RN educator to lead staff development and nursing education initiatives in a high-quality clinical setting. You will act as a consultant, facilitator and change agent, developing competency-based programs and continuing education to enhance patient care.

Responsibilities include creating education plans, evaluating clinical practice, and mentoring staff to uphold evidence-based standards.

Qualifications

• RN license in state of practice; active.
• 1-3 years nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides staff development expertise as an educator, consultant, facilitator, change agent and leader.
• Develops clinical prevention strategies in area of expertise.
• Supports the development of the nurse and fosters empowerment through knowledge to achieve excellence in evidence-based practice.
• Proactively participates in continuing education to enhance clinical practice.
• Serves as a resource in the development, implementation and evaluation of clinical protocols and practice guidelines.
• Collaborates to develop and implement education and orientation plans in clinical area of focus.
