Job summary

UPMC Community Osteopathic in Harrisburg is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join the Oncology team. This part-time role features day and night shifts with rotating schedule and every other weekend and holiday requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, completion of the UPMC nursing assistant training program, knowledge of body mechanics, and CNA preferred. Work permits required if under 18; CPR/BLS may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; successful completion of the UPMC nursing assistant training program.
• Knowledge of body mechanics and transfer techniques.
• CNA preferred; work permit required if under 18.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care as directed by the RN, including activities of daily living.
• Maintains a safe, clean environment and assists with transport and supplies.
• Records vitals and basic data as directed; assists with specimens and urine collection.
• Supports clear communication within the health care team and escalates status changes.
• Adheres to safety policies and patient confidentiality.
