Job summary

Advocate Health – Levine Cancer Institute, Medical Oncology Pineville, is seeking an experienced Nursing Manager to lead nursing practice in a busy oncology clinic in Charlotte, NC. The role supports staffing, coordination with physicians, and ensures high-quality patient care in infusion, laboratory, and pharmacy services.

This full-time position requires BSN, NC RN licensure, oncology experience, and prior management responsibilities with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state.
• BSN required; enrollment in BSN if lacking within 1 year of Hire/Transfer date.
• Minimum two years Oncology nursing experience preferred.
• Previous management experience.
• BLS certification within 1 year of eligibility for certification.
• Additional education, training, certificates or experience may be required.

Responsibilities

• Supports the manager to enhance nursing practice and delivery of care in the department.
• Assists with interview, selection and supervision of nursing personnel.
• Coordinates communication during shifts via staff meetings to exchange information.
• Ensures understanding and compliance with federal and state laws, regulations and policies.
• Gathers insights from rounds on patients, teammates, and physicians to improve care and operations.
• Delegates care to appropriate healthcare workers per policy.
• Assists in evaluating progress toward goals and disseminates information to team.
• Performs nursing care, administers medications, and assists with treatments as needed.
• Manages patient flow and staffing through continuous assessment of volume/acuity.
