Job summary

Advocate Health's Levine Cancer Institute - Medical Oncology Pineville is hiring a Nursing Manager to lead nursing teams in a fast-paced oncology setting. The role focuses on coordinating care, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with policies while delivering excellent patient care.

The position requires a BSN, current RN licensure, and at least two years in oncology nursing with prior management experience. 40-hour work week; benefits eligible; sign-on bonus eligible.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state.
• BSN required.
• Minimum two years of Oncology nursing experience preferred.
• Previous management experience.
• RN candidates must enroll in BSN program within 1 year of Hire/Transfer and complete within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Supports the manager in nursing practice, service administration and delivery.
• Assists with interview, selection, and supervision of nursing personnel.
• Coordinates communication via staff meetings/huddles to exchange information.
• Collaborates to ensure compliance with federal/state laws and policies.
• Rounds on patients, teammates, and physicians to assess care satisfaction and operations.
• Delegates care to appropriate healthcare workers within policy parameters.
• Identifies expected outcomes for continuity of care and department operations.
• Evaluates progress toward outcomes and disseminates information to teammates.
• Performs nursing care, assists with treatments and administers medications as needed.
• Manages patient flow and staffing through continuous assessment.
